Vinyl is all the rage these days. There are very few homes you go into anymore that don't have some big vinyl lettering that says their last name and the year their home was established. You might also be driving down the road see a some vinyl decals on the back of a minivan showing the different members of the family. While some of these decals have obviously been overused, there are still a lot of creative things you can do with the right vinyl wall decals.

The first thing that you want to consider when buying this type of decoration is the personality of the people that live there. If you are a fun-loving family who never takes life too seriously then you probably don't want to put the phrase "All because two people fell in love", or the typical "live, laugh, love" decal. Try being a little more creative and customize the phrase to a quote that sums up your family and their senses of humor.

Another good idea for using these wall decals is to put them up in your kid's rooms. If you have a boy's room in the house you might try getting pictures of basketballs or footballs to put up around the walls. This replaces the need for wallpaper and can be much more fun. Your kids will love it and it will look nice at the same time.

Last of all, most vinyl places have the option to create custom projects or pictures. If you can't find something you like, try making it up yourself.
